" Matisov Domik" - the small cosy hotel located in a quiet part of the city centre near to the Mariinsky Theatre. OUR PAST The hotel was named after the name of island which, during the time of Peter I, was the island of the miller Matis, who was allowed to remain on the island by this great sovereign in recognition of this contribution at the front, during the Northern Russian War. The hotel "Matisov Domik" was constructed on the bank of the River Prjazhka in 1993. Originally with only 7 rooms, it has expanded over the last ten years and now has various categories of rooms, all with en suite facilities: double, atartments, de luxe studios and a number of "king-size" suites. OUR PRESENT Today " Matisov Domik" is a three-stars hotel where our visitors can find comfort, cleanliness, order, quiet, and the personal attention of the staff - a complete European-style service at reasonable prices. This is an ideal place for the family to stay, to receive tourist groups and businessmen. The credo of the hotel is a domestic atmosphere and an individual approach to each guest. We can offer our guests a cosy cafe-bar, a conference hall seating 30, a VIP hall, a sauna, a transport and excursion service, and a boutique which sells souvenirs. You can also visit the first museum of Russian history situated locally, where rare exhibits from the nineteenth century are on display. Our REWARDS * In 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 the Hotel " Matosov Domik" was the winner of the Contest "Tourism in St.Petersburg " from nominations for "the Best development of the hotel and services". * In 2004 we are the only hotel a winner of competition "Made in St.Petersburg". * In 2000, the courtyard of the hotel "Matisov Domik" was recognised by the administration of the city as the best in the Admiralty district of St.Petersburg
