The Pulkovskaya Hotel
Composite building ensembles have always been a typical trait of Saint Petersburg (in Soviet times - Leningrad). The Pulkovskaya Hotel appeared in the southernmost part of central St. Petersburg in May of 1981 and became one of the architectural dominants of the Victory Square (Pl. Pobedy) scene. The rhythmic repetition of dolomite columns and brass elements that form the façade of the building was seen as a new, rational trend in the Soviet architectural design. Uncommon then, huge investments into quality of construction have fully justified themselves: during the past 20+ years Pulkovskaya successfully passed all annual 4-star hotel certifications. The latest modernization took part in 2002-2004. All restaurants, banquet-halls, lounges and guest-rooms have been renovated and technological standards have been improved. Our combined efforts have enabled us to bring you excellent customer service. Today we are happy to welcome 1600 guests.
